How Do Invisalign® Invisible Braces Work?
If you opt for Invisalign® invisible braces, Dr. Bourque-Hutchison will create a series of molds to get an accurate picture of the condition of your mouth. These molds are sent to the Invisalign® labs, where they are used to create a series of custom aligners. Patients are expected to wear one set of aligners for approximately two weeks before switching it out for the next set in the series, gradually moving the teeth toward their proper position in the mouth until treatment is complete. Patients are expected to visit our office every four to six weeks. For optimal results, patients should wear the aligners 22 hours a day, removing them only for cleaning and eating. Patients can expect to achieve full results in as little as one year.
