Cracked, chipped, discolored, or otherwise damaged teeth can hinder the health and beauty of a smile. One of the fastest and most effective ways to correct this is with a CEREC® porcelain restoration. CEREC® is a revolutionary system which allows dentists to fit and place crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays in one dental visit. The restorations are made from durable, natural-looking materials and are precisely placed and fitted to ensure maximum comfort. The practice of Dr. Manon Bourque-Hutchison, serving Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and other Broward County communities, is pleased to offer CEREC® technology, a convenient, safe, and effective way to enhance smiles.
The CEREC® system is sophisticated technology that creates custom-fitted, beautiful porcelain restorations in as little as an hour. Using special tools, Dr. Bourque-Hutchison first takes a detailed impression of the tooth that needs to be restored and prepares it for the crown or veneer. Assisted by the advanced CEREC® software, she then designs the crown or veneer on her computer. This information is sent to the milling machine, which crafts the restoration from a block of porcelain matching the color of the patient's surrounding teeth. The restoration is shaped into the desired size and proportion. All of this happens while the patient relaxes in our office. Finally, Dr. Bourque-Hutchison carefully places the restoration for a precise and comfortable fit.
Our patients love the convenience of CEREC® restorations. CEREC® eliminates the need for several appointments, multiple shots of anesthesia, and temporary restorations. Patients make only one short trip to our Pompano Beach or Coconut Creek office for the fitting, milling, and placement of their CEREC® restoration.
CEREC® crowns or veneers are fabricated from high-quality materials that are lifelike in both appearance and feel. The restorations are carefully fitted and placed to blend in with the rest of the patient's teeth and gums. Patients need not worry about a black line appearing at their gums, which can sometimes happen with metal-based restorations. The porcelain material mimics natural tooth enamel and is designed to last for many years without chipping or cracking. Porcelain strengthens the tooth structure without irritating the gums, tongue, or lips.
If you are interested in exciting CEREC® technology and the benefits of single-visit crowns and veneers, please contact our dentist, Manon Bourque-Hutchison, to schedule an appointment. Our patients from the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton areas love the convenience and beauty of CEREC® restorations.
